Specially Appointed Lecturer of Hokkaido University, Center for Environmental and Health Sciences, Dr. Sumitaka Kobayashi was awarded the Japan Society for Hygiene Research Award for Encouragement.

At the 91st Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Hygiene Research (March 6-8, 2021, Toyama), Dr. Sumitaka Kobayashi was awarded this prestigious award. The award ceremony and lecture were held online.

His award-winning title was:
Epidemiological study on the exposure of pregnant women to environmental chemicals and development of their children – Elucidation of high-risk population based on genetic-environmental interaction
