This division is tasked with developing strong research competencies and creating a state-of-the-art education and training system. We achieve them through working with graduate schools and faculties at Hokkaido University and its collaborating universities on education programs and cross-departmental class provision. We nurture those who are very keen to disentangle environmental issues that are complex and varied and those experts who investigate the issues in great breadth and depth – this is what Hokkaido University aims for.
