1/17（金）公開セミナー「日本におけるプラネタリーヘルスの取り組み」を開催いたします／ Seminar “Planetary Health Initiatives in Japan

１月17日（金）に公開セミナー「日本におけるプラネタリーヘルスの取り組み〜広島大学プラネタリーヘルス・イノベーションサイエンスセンターの活動より〜」を開催します。

このセミナーでは、本学が採択を受けた文部科学省科学技術人材育成費補助事業「ダイバーシティ研究環境実現イニシアティブ（女性リーダー育成型）」の一環として、広島大学 IDEC 国際連携機構・副機構長の鹿嶋小緒里准教授をお招きし、日本におけるプラネタリーヘルスの取り組みについてご講演いただきます。また意見交換会では、広島大学におけるDEI（Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion）の取組み、特に、ジェンダー、文化的背景、ライフステージなど多様な視点からの事例紹介を中心に、「プラネタリーヘルスというグローバルな視点から、ダイバーシティとインクルージョンが研究や教育にどのような影響を与えるか」や「女性リーダーシップの実例」などのテーマについて議論します。

Seminar “Planetary Health Initiatives in Japan: From the Activities of the Center for the Planetary Health and Innovation Science, Hiroshima University

The above-mentioned seminar will be held as one of the projects of the Initiative for Realization of Diversity Research Environment (Female Leader Development Type). It is hosted by the Center for Environmental and Health Sciences, Hokkaido University.

Title: Planetary Health Initiatives in Japan – Activities of the Center for the Planetary Health and Innovation Science, Hiroshima University
Speaker: Associate Professor Saori Kashima, Deputy Director, IDEC Institute, Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation (IDEC), Hiroshima University; Director, Center for the Planetary Health and Innovation Science (PHIS), IDEC
Theme/Content: DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives at Hiroshima University, especially from diverse perspectives such as gender, cultural backgrounds, and life stages will be presented.

After the lecture, there will be a session for the exchange of opinions from 16:00 to 17:00 at the same venue. The following topics will be discussed
– How diversity and inclusion impact research and education from a global perspective of planetary health
– Examples of women’s leadership
